Request permanent deletion of your account and all associated data
How to Delete Your Account
To permanently delete your ASHapp account and all associated data, please follow these steps:
- Open the ASHapp mobile application on your device
- Navigate to your Profile by tapping the profile icon in the top right corner of the home screen
- Scroll down to find the "Delete Account" option (shown in red at the bottom of the menu)
- Confirm your decision - You will be asked to confirm twice to ensure you want to proceed
- Complete the deletion - Your account and all data will be permanently deleted
⚠️ Warning: This action cannot be undone. All your data will be permanently deleted.
What Data Will Be Deleted
When you delete your ASHapp account, the following data will be permanently removed:
- Account Information: Email address, user ID, and authentication tokens
- Learning Materials: All your collections, concepts, flashcards, and study progress
- User-Generated Content: All images you uploaded, AI-generated images, notes, and custom content
- Learning Data: Streak data, personal goals, learning statistics, and progress tracking
- Subscription Information: Subscription type and billing data
- Notifications: All notifications and shared collection data
- Stored Images: All images stored in our AWS S3 storage associated with your account
- App Preferences: All settings and preferences you configured
Data Retention Period
When you delete your ASHapp account:
- Immediate and Permanent Deletion: Your account and all associated data (collections, concepts, images, user data) are deleted immediately and permanently upon confirmation
- No Backup Retention: We do not retain backups of deleted account data. Once deleted, your data cannot be recovered
- System Logs: AWS CloudWatch system logs are automatically deleted after 90 days. These logs contain technical information (request IDs, timestamps, error codes) but do not contain your personal data, account information, email addresses, or any content you created.
What Data Is Not Deleted
The following data may be retained for legal or operational purposes:
- Aggregated Analytics: Anonymized usage statistics that cannot be linked to your account or identify you personally
- Legal Records: Any data required to be retained by law or for legal compliance (if applicable)
Note: AWS CloudWatch system logs are automatically deleted after 90 days. These logs contain technical metadata (timestamps, request IDs, error codes) but do not contain your personal data, account information, email addresses, or any content you created.
